Carry of the Week with Kelsey: Robin’s Hip Carry

I didn’t disappear! I am back today with a hip carry. This particular one is called Robin’s Hip Carry. It’s a nice carry that can be done with a size 6.

This is helpful when you either don’t have a shorty or don’t want one but still want to do hip carries. I will say though that if you decided to tie under bum instead of behind you back you could do this with a 4 or 5.

Two leg passes make this great for leg straighteners and the high back can wrangle those leaners. The video I chose chose her spreading the passes to reinforce. Since she has a bigger baby it’s what works for her. My peanut is still pretty small so I bunched the passes. No one way is right. Whatever works for you and baby

I especially love WYIL’s video because her toddler is not having the wrapping and she takes it all in stride. For reference Clara is 7 months old and 17lbs. She is wrapped with a Pavo Hopeful Hearts 6.
